[1] Las Cruces shares miraculous COVID-19 recovery story – Arthur Sanchez of Las Cruces contracted COVID-19 in 2020. He suffered from post-COVID fibrosis, a severe lung disease that caused acute respiratory problems. That August, Sanchez received a double lung transplant at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, and it was the first post-COVID transplantation in the western United States. Sanchez expressed gratitude to the medical personnel who risked their health to save his life.

[2] APD’s care training focusing on children in crisis – The Albuquerque Police Department (APD) hosted a course focused on helping kids in crisis. The department hosted its annual Care Training, which prepares officers to help kids in situations of sexual assault or other major crises. During this week’s classes, there were 50 officers, deputies, and staff in the training.

[3] Roller coaster temperatures continue in eastern New Mexico – Today, another backdoor cold front will slide through the state in the morning and afternoon. Temperatures are forecasted to drop once again in several eastern counties with highs staying in the 30s. Mild to seasonable high temperatures are on tap throughout most of New Mexico this week with breezy winds…
