As Seattle cheers Dry January, alcohol producers suffer hangover

Amanda Lybeck, 37, is giving up alcohol for all 12 months of 2026. A year ago, the Maple Valley resident completed Dry January — the trend of going sober for one month — for the first time as a way to support her fitness journey.
