Albany’s first mayor of color leads MLK march

ALBANY, N.Y. – Crowds gathered in Albany on Monday to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

People marched from the New York State Museum on Madison Avenue and made their way to the Dr. King statue, where a wreath-laying ceremony took past.

Attendees were committed to spreading Dr. King’s message of unity and inclusion. Many speakers also highlighted current events affecting the country today such as ICE raids and the loss of SNAP benefits during the recent government shutdown…
