Little Free Sled Library brings winter fun to all

BUFFALO, N.Y. — This winter, a small hill along the Rail Trail in University Heights is bringing big smiles to the community. Thanks to an initiative, neighbors can borrow sleds, enjoy a few runs down the hill, and return them—no purchase required.

The Little Free Sled Library is a partnership between the University Heights Collaborative and the Tool Library. It’s designed to get people outside and make winter play accessible to everyone.

“Several years ago, we noticed that there were kids that were sliding, there weren’t a lot of sleds available, so we worked with Darren Cotton with The Tool Library to build the sled library here.
