Garfield Heights Man Charged with Felony for Allegedly Recording Juvenile in Walmart Restroom in Medina Township

A Garfield Heights man faces felony charges after allegedly recording a juvenile Walmart employee in the restroom, authorities said in Medina Township, Ohio. Tyler J. Jones, 26, is accused of using a cell phone to capture images of the young employee from an adjacent stall and making inappropriate sexual advances on January 8 at the Walmart on 4141 Pearl Road, according to Cleveland 19.

The Medina Township Police Department utilized surveillance footage and license-plate-reader technology to initially quickly arrest Jones, who was later charged with illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material or performance and voyeurism. As per Fox 8, the former is a second-degree felony, and the latter is a fifth-degree felony.

Following his arrest on January 16, Jones was booked into the Medina County Jail. His bond has been set at $65,000 with an arraignment scheduled for January 27.
