Your week’s look ahead at Durham arts events

Finally settling into the Spring semester, Durham promises a jam-packed week ranging from Gregory Alan Isakov to Pete Holmes.

The Durham Performing Arts Center is bringing three distinct acts to town.

The week begins on Wednesday with Gregory Alan Isakov. The singer has been an indie folk staple with the certified-platinum single “Big Black Car” — which has also been featured in a McDonald’s commercial. $1 from the sale of each ticket will be donated to Friends of the Durham Library in memory of Andrea Gibson.

Brett Young comes to DPAC on Friday. Young is known for coining “Caliville” style and has been dubbed by Rolling Stone as “one of Country’s most consistent radio stars” — the singer also has seven certified platinum singles. He is coming off of his 2025 album “2.0.”…
