(WJET/WFXP)– Millcreek police and PennDOT have closed down Powell Avenue and Asbury Road amid severe winter weather on Monday.
Powell Avenue is closed from West 26th Street to 12th Street and Asbury Road from West 12th to West 26th Streets is closed as well due to severe weather conditions, police said.
Part of I-90 eastbound shutdown due to crash Monday
Sustained winds blowing west at 35-45 mph have created what they said are substantial snow drifts along the roads and whiteout conditions, leading to several motor vehicle accidents.
No word on any injuries for those crashes. The roads will be closed until further notice.
