Tinie’s, the Mexican-inspired South Main Street restaurant named after owner Sarah Castillo’s mother, has gotten a second chance. Since opening its doors in a beautifully restored historic building, Tinie’s has been defined by challenges and resilience. Now, the restaurant is stepping into a long-awaited reset, fueled by new leadership, a reworked menu, a revamped restaurant, and a renewed sense of purpose. From the beginning, Tinie’s aimed to be more than just another neighborhood spot. Castillo envisioned a place inspired by authentic flavors, warmth, and everyday elegance of Mexico City. But shortly after opening, the restaurant business slowed considerably with the COVID-19 shutdown. Everything fell into survival mode.
As the dust finally settled, Castillo saw an opportunity to pause, reassess, and rebuild the restaurant the way she originally imagined. At the center of the restart is Adrian Burciaga, a respected figure in Fort Worth’s dining community who has stepped in to guide Tinie’s into its next era. Castillo contacted Burciaga, a longtime friend and collaborator whose background in hospitality and operations made him the right partner to begin again…
