ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — A proposal to use $200,000 in public funding to support a new McDonald’s restaurant on West State Street is heading to the Rockford City Council this week.
The project would involve the construction of a new McDonald’s at 4103 W. State Street, adjacent to the DaVita Dialysis clinic.
The proposed amendment to the development agreement asks the city to contribute $200,000 in “Casino Plan High-Risk Area” economic funds to help the developer, Machesney Investments LLC / First Midwest Group, close a financing gap…
