TxDOT reopens I-30 south of Downtown Dallas after weekend demolition as multi-year canyon project continues

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has reopened all lanes of Interstate 30 on the south side of downtown Dallas after crews spent the weekend demolishing bridges and pavement as part of ongoing reconstruction work.

The closures, which ran from Friday night through Monday morning, were tied to the I-30 Canyon corridor improvement project, a multi-phase effort to rebuild aging highway infrastructure through the heart of Dallas.

@hectordaily I filmed this on 1-19-2026 Monday capturing what i30 looks like after midnight. Stay safe out there my friends. #dallas#i30#hectordaily#construction#dallasnews#dfwnews#texans#realestatetiktok♬ original sound – HectorAlexGuerrero…
