BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The demand for homes in Bakersfield increased in December while the supply dropped resulting in an increase in home prices.
According to Bakersfield real estate appraiser Michael Crabtree, the median price of homes increased in December by $15,000 to $395,000. That is down about 2.7% from last year.

Bakersfield homes are the most affordable that the state average, according to Crabtree.
