Police in Erie asking public’s help identifying person who left 6 month old husky abandoned in crate under bridge

On Monday night, the City of Erie Police contacted ANNA Animal Shelter in Erie, Pennsylvania, about a dog found in a crate under a bridge. Authorities were unsure if the dog, who appeared to have been frozen, was even still alive.

Immediately, staff members from the shelter arrived at the location and confirmed the dog was still alive but nonresponsive. The rescuers were given immediate triage directions, and special arrangements were already being made with Dr. Lyon, the shelter’s partnering veterinarian.

Additional members of the rescue’s cruelty team arrived to assist with the dog’s care. At the time of her arrival, the six-month-old red Siberian Husky’s temperature was 94 degrees and her heart rate an alarming 46 BPM. She had been covered in feces, was frostbitten on her four paws and smelled of urine.

She is literally a rack of bones weighing just 15.2 pounds…
