City of Greenville votes to be more prepared in case of disaster

GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) – Greenville city leaders say they are taking steps to better prepare for future disasters by approving an updated Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan.

City Council voted to adopt the 2026 update to the plan, which focuses on coordination between local, state and federal agencies to respond more effectively when disaster strikes.
