Carlisle man charged with involuntary manslaughter after meth overdose

A Carlisle man was charged with three felonies and a misdemeanor after delivering drugs that resulted in a fatal overdose, according to police.

Daniel Brian Bitner, 39, of Carlisle, was charged with drug delivery resulting in death, criminal use of a communication facility, manufacturing, delivering or possessing drugs with intent to deliver and involuntary manslaughter after a Nov. 29 incident.

Police responded to the 100 block of Walnut Street in Carlisle Borough for a medical assistance call. They found a man overdosing on drugs. He died at the hospital, and his cause of death was methamphetamine toxicity…
