LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Bitterly cold air has settled over the Bluegrass this morning, and it’s not pulling any punches.
Temperatures are starting out in the single digits, with wind chills dipping below zero in many spots. A Cold Weather Advisory remains in effect through 10 am this morning for much of central and northern Kentucky, as temperatures could drop to -5. If you must be outside, bundle up – frostbite can develop quickly in these kinds of conditions!
Highs will only reach the upper teens and low 20s today, keeping us nearly 20 degrees below normal for this time of year. With clear skies and a calm breeze overnight, expect another frigid night ahead as lows slump back into the single digits. Mainly sunshine for the day ahead…
