MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — A Myrtle Beach motel that an Horry County judge ruled to temporarily shut down in November after hundreds of police visits is being sued after a young girl fell through a second-story balcony railing last summer, according to a lawsuit.
The 10-page complaint, which was filed last Thursday in Horry County Common Pleas Court, names the Twilight Surf Motel, its manager, ABC Corporations 1-3 and John Does 1-3. It alleges negligence.
The girl and her parents were visiting Myrtle Beach from North Carolina and staying at the motel on or about Aug. 16 and were on a second-story balcony, the lawsuit shows.
