Weather alert announced for snow showers in part of Pennsylvania until Monday midday

The National Weather Service issued a weather alert at 8:55 a.m. on Monday for snow showers until noon for Higher Elevations of Indiana as well as Mercer, Venango, Forest, Lawrence, Butler, Clarion, Jefferson, Beaver, Allegheny, Armstrong, Washington, Westmoreland and Indiana counties.

“Snow showers will continue to move across the region this morning. Some of these will produce visibility down to a half of a mile, and a quick accumulation of snow on roads. Use caution if traveling, and watch for rapid changes in visibility and slick roads,” states the weather service.
