Madison, Wisconsin approved a temporary moratorium on new data centers as the city council debates how to regulate the industry.

As George Wiebe explains in an article in the Wisconsin State Journal, “The ordinance establishes a 12-month pause on zoning approvals for new data and telecommunications centers, or until the city adopts updated zoning regulations tailored to the industry.”…
