A train blocked several intersections in Old Town Fort Collins the morning of Jan. 20 after hitting an unoccupied vehicle on the tracks. No injuries have been reported.
Fort Collins police said the train blocked traffic in both directions on North College Avenue north of Cherry Street, according to a Facebook post. Here’s how traffic in the area was impacted:
- North College Avenue was closed from Vine Drive to Laurel Street.
- Traffic flow on Cherry Street was blocked east of North Mason Street.
- Traffic flow on North Mason Street was blocked from Laporte Avenue to Laurel Street.
- Laurel Street was open in both directions.
- Linden Street was open at the railroad crossing south of Vine Drive.
