TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Staff, parents, and community members from the Arizona State School for the Deaf and the Blind heard from school leadership about the possible move to Copper Creek Elementary in Oro Valley.
A lot of parents told me 13 News felt disappointed upon leaving, with many families and students telling 13 News reporter Raya Torres that being differently-abled is challenging. Whether that’s not being able to see or hear or both, the struggle is tough, but with ASDB’s possible relocation, it makes that challenge much more difficult to manage.
The staff meeting held earlier Monday was closed to the public, but 13 News attended the community meeting informing ASDB parents about the relocation plans.
