A weak system pushing inland from southern California and northwestern Mexico will bring a slight chance of showers on Friday and Saturday. The best chance of precipitation will be over the mountains, with the Mojave Desert and southern Great Basin expected to receive minimal moisture. High temperatures hold in the mid to low 60s (64° Friday, 62° Saturday).
Note for Lake Goers: Persistent breezy north winds are expected each afternoon this week along the Colorado River Valley, with wave heights between 1 and 2 feet on Lake Mohave. If you’re heading out on the lake, be prepared for these conditions.
