OSHA investigating after Ohio industrial worker killed by large piece of steel

AKRON, Ohio (WKRC) — An Ohio industrial worker was killed after being struck by a large piece of steel.

According to WKYC, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating the death of 49-year-old Mykl Kofahl, an employee at Logan Machine Company in Akron. Kofahl was killed on January 6 when a large piece of steel fell on him.

WOIO reported that Kofahl was performing a welding job at the machining shop when the steel fell and struck him. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the reports…
