Legendary country band, iconic star join forces for Alabama concert

Alabama, the legendary country band founded in Fort Payne, is set to perform at a new venue in its home state in 2026.

Founding members Randy Owen and Teddy Gentry will be on stage May 9 at the Coca-Cola Amphitheater in Birmingham, playing hits and signature songs. Country star Jamey Johnson, an Alabama native, will be the opening act, promoter Live Nation announced on Tuesday.

Tickets for the 7 p.m. concert go on sale Friday, Jan. 23, at 10 a.m. CT via Ticketmaster, after a round of presales. Prices are $39.50, $59.50, $79.50 and $99.50, Live Nation said…
