According to AMNY, police are intensifying their efforts to locate two individuals linked to the death of 16-year-old Alberto Roque, who was fatally shot near East 162nd Street in Melrose.
The incident occurred on the night of June 17, 2024, Roque was found by officers from the 42nd Precinct responding to a 911 call; the officers discovered him suffering on the sidewalk from a critical head wound, less than a mile from his 3rd Avenue home he was immediately rushed to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln where he succumbed to his injuries the next day. The NYPD’s Crimestoppers shared a social media post requesting any information related to the shooting incident which has become a focal point in an extended search for justice.
