ORIENTAL – Hoover – named for his propensity to vacuum up tasty morsels in the office of Tom Mcllheny at Oriental Marina & Inn – has been missing for weeks. In fact, the feline had almost been written off as a fond memory. That quickly changed last week thanks to the miracle of an implanted microchip, and the diligence of the Animal Shelter folks in Chapel Hill, who contacted Pamlico County Animal Control Officer Berkley Hill. Hoover quickly hitched a ride home, and will be the featured guest Tuesday, Jan. 20 from 5 to 8pm at Toucan. See below:
