City of Hoboken joins Mayors Against Illegal Guns as Jabbour’s first official act

The City of Hoboken has joined Mayors Against Illegal Guns, a national, bipartisan coalition focused on reducing gun violence and advancing evidence‑based public safety strategies, marking Emily Jabbour’s first official act as the chief executive of the Mile Square City.

The move comes as no surprise for those who watched Jabbour’s inaugural speech, where she pledged to join the group immediately.

“Joining Mayors Against Illegal Guns as my first act in office reflects the values that brought me into public service. As a mom, I know what it means to want your children, and every child in our community, to grow up feeling safe,” she said in a statement.
