Knoxville Police Department fully staffed for first time since 2014

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — For the first time since 2014, the Knoxville Police Department is fully staffed.

The department currently has 389 sworn-in officers and 28 recruits who are expected to graduate in March. This would bring the total to 417, which is actually higher than the department’s authorized force of 416 officers.
