KAT bus and Knox County Schools van with children inside crash in Knoxville

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — A Knoxville Area Transit bus and a Knox County Schools shuttle van were involved in a crash Tuesday morning, the Knoxville Police Department said.

The crash was at the intersection of Magnolia Avenue and Cherry Street, police said. KPD posted about the crash at 7:56 a.m., saying officers were on the scene.

The shuttle driver was taken to a hospital for evaluation, police said. Five children were on the shuttle van during the crash, and one suffered a minor injury, KPD said.
