Upstate NY road rage turns violent as man throws object at woman, then hits her with his truck

A 48-year-old Upstate New York man faces assault and reckless endangerment charges after police say he intentionally struck a woman with his pickup truck following a road rage encounter.

Shane Cossey was arrested after an investigation into the incident that occurred on Friday afternoon. Greece Police Department officers responded to what was initially reported as a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian but determined the incident resulted from an intentional act.

According to the investigation, the victim was involved in a brief traffic-related dispute with the operator of a pickup truck. After the victim pulled into a nearby parking lot and exited her vehicle, the suspect threw an object at her from his vehicle. The suspect then reversed his vehicle and intentionally struck the victim, causing her to land on the hood of the truck before fleeing the scene…
