A 48-year-old Upstate New York man faces assault and reckless endangerment charges after police say he intentionally struck a woman with his pickup truck following a road rage encounter.
Shane Cossey was arrested after an investigation into the incident that occurred on Friday afternoon. Greece Police Department officers responded to what was initially reported as a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian but determined the incident resulted from an intentional act.
According to the investigation, the victim was involved in a brief traffic-related dispute with the operator of a pickup truck. After the victim pulled into a nearby parking lot and exited her vehicle, the suspect threw an object at her from his vehicle.
