STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — An NYPD officer suffered minor injuries Tuesday night after a vehicle collided with an NYPD patrol car before careening into an MTA bus, police said.
The crash occurred around 6:15 p.m. on the 1200 block of Richmond Avenue near Deppe Place in Graniteville, an NYPD spokesman said.
The front end of the black Nissan Maxima could be seen forced into the rear driver’s side section of the bus. The vehicle suffered significant damage. A section of the passenger side appeared sheared off, the trunk was crushed and part of the bumper was ripped off.
