On January 20, 2026, at 7:03 a.m., officers responded to the Black Road overpass over Interstate 55 for a report of an adult female standing on the overpass. While officers responded, it was learned that the female had either fallen or jumped from the overpass onto Interstate 55.
An ambulance in the area stopped on Interstate 55 to render aid and transported the female to St Joseph Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead. Officers located the victim’s vehicle nearby on Northwest Frontage Road. No suspicious circumstances were found at the scene…
