11-year-old student dies after medical emergency on school bus in Montgomery County, sheriff’s office says

MAGNOLIA, Texas — An 11-year-old student died Tuesday morning after experiencing a medical emergency aboard a Magnolia ISD school bus, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities said the incident appears to be related to a previously diagnosed medical condition, and no foul play is suspected.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call at approximately 7:38 a.m., reporting an unresponsive student on a school bus that was traveling to school. School nursing staff and personnel from the Precinct 5 Constable’s office arrived immediately and began CPR and other life-saving measures.

Montgomery County Hospital District medics took over treatment when they arrived and transported the student to a local hospital, where the child was later pronounced dead despite extensive efforts by first responders and medical personnel…
