The identity of the woman killed in a Saturday night shooting in Belleville was confirmed Monday by the St. Clair County Coroner’s Office.
St. Clair County Coroner Calvin Dye Sr. said Shenandoah Burton, 18, of Swansea, was pronounced dead shortly after midnight Sunday in the emergency room at Memorial Hospital in Belleville. The cause of death was a gunshot wound, Dye said.
