Jury selection for former St. Louis alderman’s trial

ST. LOUIS – Jury selection took place Tuesday in the federal trial of former St. Louis Alderman Brandon Bosley, with attorneys questioning potential jurors.

Bosley is charged in connection with an alleged scheme stemming from a 2021 car crash involving a Toyota Prius parked outside his office. According to the indictment, Bosley later attempted to manipulate insurance claims related to the damage.

Federal investigators say Bosley asked the man who sold him the Prius to inflate repair estimates so the vehicle would be declared a total loss by the insurance company. Prosecutors also allege Bosley requested a legitimate repair estimate in case he decided to repurchase the car from the insurer…
