St. Paul official says city plow driver taken by ICE despite authorization to work

St. Paul Public Works Director Sean Kershaw said U.S. Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE) recently “racially profiled” and detained a city employee despite the man’s legal authorization to work.

In a Saturday post on X, Kershaw said the man was targeted because of his “country of origin” and was held at the Whipple Federal Building before being sent to El Paso, Texas.

“He’s now facing deportation because of ICE’s evil tactics,” Kershaw wrote, noting the man has an illness that requires “strict medication/diet.”…
