CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A former health aide from Fort Edward has pleaded guilty to stealing thousands of dollars from a patient, according to the Saratoga County District Attorney’s Office. Tia Hayes, 38, was originally arrested in February 2025.

Authorities said Hayes had stolen and used a patient’s credit card when she was working at Kristina’s Heart to Heart Home Health Care in Clifton Park. She reportedly made several purchases from May 2024 to January 2025, totaling about $16,000.
Hayes was initially charged with grand larceny, identity theft, criminal possession of stolen property and criminal possession of a controlled substance. She pleaded guilty to fourth-degree criminal possession on Tuesday, the DA’s Office said.
