Two individuals were sentenced to significant prison terms following guilty pleas related to large-scale narcotics trafficking, according to the Buncombe County District Attorney’s Office.
A joint agency search involving the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Department assisted Federal Probation officers discovered 28 grams of methamphetamines and 50 grams of Fentanyl in the camper of Daniel Alfaro in 2023. He pleaded guilty to trafficking Opium/Heroin and trafficking in methamphetamines, with a sentence of 6-7 years and a fine of $100,000 fine, with additional time for violating probation.
A major distribution network was uncovered through traffic stops and subsequent search warrants by Buncombe County Sheriff’s Department IGRANT unit in 2024. Jana Edge was busted with 128 grams of Fentanyl and 28 grams of Methamphetamines. She will serve 7-10 years in prison, plus a $500,000 fine…
