Baltimore Police shot and killed a man who allegedly fired a gun at them Tuesday night, investigators said.
Officers were called to Bank Street in southeast Baltimore, just after 9 p.m. for a report of a man threatening someone with a gun.

Police found the man riding a bike on Eastern Avenue, near the Interstate 95 south exit ramp. According to investigators, police struggled with the man and they tried to take him into custody. At some point, they said the man pulled out a gun and allegedly fired a shot close to the officers. Two officers then fired back, killing him, according to Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley.
“This could have completely been avoided had the suspect just complied with the officers demands to show his hands so we could take him into custody. Unfortunately, he decided to pull a weapon and tried to kill our officers and our officers shot back,” Worley told reporters…
