Buncombe County gets FEMA funds to assess safety at Garren Creek landslide site

BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — Buncombe County has FEMA-approved funds to explore ways to make a second major Helene landslide site safer for residents in the future.

The Garren Creek landslide resulted in deaths in the Craig family when Helene hit the area, News 13 previously reported.
