CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — Charleston experienced a rare and significant snowfall as part of a winter storm that blanketed much of the Deep South one year ago Wednesday.
More than four inches of snow fell in the Charleston area on Jan. 21, 2025, leading to the closure of Charleston International Airport. Officials also closed the Ravenel Bridge as a precaution over concerns about ice falling from its cables onto vehicles below.
