NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio — Value City Furniture stores are rushing to sell out their inventory after their parent company, American Signature, filed for bankruptcy. Meanwhile, some customers who placed orders at the stores are learning they’re out thousands of dollars.
Right now, a huge “going out of business” banner hangs on the front of the North Olmsted Value City Furniture store. It’s something that wasn’t there when Tom and Lorraine Moore — the parents of a 3News producer — ordered a furniture set at the store on Nov. 15.
