Man faces decade-long prison sentence after pleading guilty to drug trafficking charge

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A 48-year-old man has pled guilty to charges in a drug trafficking case, according to Jefferson County prosecutors.

On Tuesday, Roneil Cornelison pled guilty to first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance of methamphetamine (two grams or more) on the same day his trial was set to begin, prosecutors added.

If the judge follows the recommended sentencing conditions, Commonwealth’s Attorney Gerina Whethers said Cornelison would face a decade in prison. He will be formally sentenced on March 5…
