NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man was charged with felony child neglect Tuesday after a toddler was found unattended in Midtown amid freezing temperatures.
According to arrest documents, officers were called to Church Street near Ascension St. Thomas Midtown shortly after midnight, where a 1-year-old child was found unattended in the parking lot wearing only a short sleeve shirt. The child was reportedly extremely cold and shivering, as temperatures at the time were recorded to be 19 degrees.
Officials found Robin Acosta, 22, asleep in a nearby vehicle. He reportedly told them he was in charge of watching the child while the child’s mother was in the emergency room.
