Pender County teen arrested on felony hit-and-run, assault charges

PENDER COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – A Pender County teen faces multiple charges, including felony hit-and-run with injury and misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon, following his arrest Monday.

Octavio Santiago-Ramos, 18, of Rocky Point, was arrested Jan. 19 by the Pender County Sheriff’s Office on six charges.

The charges include:

  • Felony hit-and-run with injury
  • Misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon
  • Misdemeanor injury to real property
  • Misdemeanor driving without an operator’s license
  • Misdemeanor reckless driving with wanton disregard
  • Misdemeanor second-degree trespass
