Des Moines, Iowa – Strong winds combined with falling and existing snow are expected to create dangerous travel conditions across parts of Iowa this afternoon and evening.

According to the National Weather Service in Des Moines, very strong winds will surge across the state today while light snow develops, mainly across northern and northeastern Iowa.
