Former Springfield firefighter dies after 3-vehicle crash

A former Springfield firefighter died after being involved in a three-vehicle crash on U.S. 65 on Tuesday, Jan. 20.

Springfield Police Department officers responded to a three-vehicle crash in the 1600 block of North U.S. Highway 65 at 7:54 a.m. on Tuesday. Willis King, 57, was driving north in a 2008 Buick Lacrosse when he hit the back of a Dodge Ram and left the roadway to the right, according to an SPD news release.
