WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Students in some Wichita schools are making their voices heard in opposition to ICE and the ramped up enforcement.
On Tuesday, students at Wichita Heights High School walked out of class holding signs and protesting against ICE in an effort to support fellow classmates who they say are concerned seeing deportation raids across the country.
“There are people at my school now who are scared, they don’t know when is the last time that they are going to be able to see their friends or teachers or anything, I feel this needs to be heard people need to see that they are hurting people,” said Wichita Heights High School student Te’onna Henderson, a student.
