Royal Ridge Elementary placed on lockdown after suspect calls in threat, police on scene

SAN ANTONIO – A school was briefly placed on lockdown early Wednesday after an unknown suspected called in a violent threat.

According to the North East Independent School District (NEISD,) around 8 a.m. on Wednesday, the district received a phone call from an individual threatening the school.

As a precautionary measure, the district immediately called the North East Police Department (NEPD) and implemented their Standard Response Protocol (SPR) and went into a lockdown…
