California developer proposes nearly 200 apartments, commercial space on Overland Rd.

A seven-acre property in Meridian is up for redevelopment a second time.

Last year, California-based developer Assemble Management submitted an application with the City of Meridian to annex roughly seven acres at 4270 E. Overland Road and rezone it to the community business district designation. This rezone, and annexing the parcel surrounded on three sides by city land, would make way for the construction of 184 apartments and roughly 18,000 square feet of commercial space in four mixed-use buildings.

This project would be located on a parcel with five single-family homes, currently listed on Google as the site of a now-closed used car business near the intersection with Rolling Hill Drive…
