CARBON COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Following a kratom-related death in Carbon County, the coroner’s office issued a public warning regarding the substance.
Mark Smith, Carbon County Coroner, said the warning was due to a Penn Forest death with the cause being mitragynine toxicity, which is the primary compound in kratom.
